Halo 3:ODST?

Expected release date - Somewhere in 2009.

Expected release date - Somewhere in 2009.

Earlier today, I discovered the existence of the highly anticipated release of an expansion sort of a game for Halo 3. Although Master Chief’s journey may have ended in Halo 3 (not saying it has, since Halo 4 MIGHT be released), a new adventure awaits as an ODST. Playing as an Orbital Shock Drop Trooper, your SOEIV (Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle, AKA drop pod) has made a crash landing, in a hostile environment under patrol and surveillance of the Covenant.

It’s ironic that I haven’t played Halo 3, own an Xbox 360 console, or even ever laid hands on a X360 controller. I do own a very old original Xbox, and have played the first two games in the Halo franchise. I seriously can’t wait to get an Xbox 360, mainly because of Halo 3, Halo Wars, and obviously the awaiting Halo 3: ODST.

Also, to mention, was that originally the game was called Halo 3: Recon because instead of Halo 3’s stand/shoot/win kind of thing, playing as an ODST will force you to become mobile, nearly always, as you have no energy shields, no super strength and reactions, and no Cortana. But, Microsoft thought the title ought to pinpoint the main character, which, of course, was an ODST. So, it was renamed Halo 3: ODST or Halo 3: Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.
